TERMS AND POLICIES

At Music Together Songful Beginnings, our mission is to provide a safe and inclusive experience for ALL participants of our classes and events. We are committed to upholding the high standards of Music Together LLC to provide the best quality program for our community. 

 

Try a Class for Free

Many families want to try out a Music Together class to see if it is a good fit for their child’s interests and abilities. You may also see advertising from Music Together Worldwide or Music Together Songful Beginnings encouraging you to “Try out a class for free!” Music Together Songful Beginnings welcomes you to contact us about attending ONE total class with no obligation for enrollment or tuition payment.

If you love it (and we think you will) we can discuss joining one of our classes. We will do our best to accommodate late registrations at any point in the semester, we want all children to experience the joy of Music Together! Please contact us to discuss options for joining a semester that is currently in session.  

 Tuition is based on the established semester schedule, and may be adjusted or prorated depending on when you join the semester.

Registration

  • Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Classroom enrollment is limited, even for outdoor classes, in order to provide for the highest quality experience for all participants. In person class requirements may be changed at any time for health and safety. 
  • Registration for available semester classes is ongoing, with prorated pricing up to the final TWO weeks of a semester. 
  • Tuition is due at the time of registration, payment plan options are available and processed automatically via a third party provider (Stripe). 
  • Registration must be completed and minimum deposit paid to be considered enrolled in a class, or to receive class materials. 

Class Cancellations and/or Withdrawals

  • Refunds are available if cancellation is made in writing prior to the start date of the current semester- minus a $25 processing fee. 
  • If you withdraw after your class start date, tuition is non refundable. If you have agreed to a payment plan, any remaining balance on the account must be paid, unless other accommodations are made. Credit may be applied for future semesters or events. 
  • Tuition includes 8 scheduled class sessions, there is no refund for classes missed by students. You may make up an absence by attending another class time, or an additional “makeup” or “bonus” class is scheduled at the end of the semester. 
  • We will do our best to accommodate late registrations at any point in the semester, we want all children to experience the joy of Music Together! Please contact us to discuss options for joining a semester that is currently in session.  
  • Holidays are announced at the beginning of the semester in welcome materials. Classes may be cancelled due to inclement weather, teacher illness, and for other extraordinary circumstances. In the case of inclement weather, please call 801-599-8696 or check your email for class cancellation information. Should your class be cancelled because of teacher illness or for some other extraordinary circumstances, you will be notified by phone and email. Cancelled classes may be rescheduled at the end of the semester. 
  • EXTRAORDINARY CIRCUMSTANCES: Please consider that Music Together Songful Beginnings is required to comply with all state and local regulations regarding safety responses to health or environmental catastrophe or events. Changes to in person classes may be necessary, in which case these classes will move to an on-line model. In the event of long term class cancellation due to COVID-19 virus, extreme weather, or other uncontrollable circumstances: Classes may be held online via Zoom at the scheduled class time. We'll provide support and communication to you.

Siblings and Other Guests

  • Adult guests are welcome to attend with your family. All adults are expected to comply with mask requirements and may be encouraged to participate or observe based on comfort and ability. 
  • In our in person classes, we welcome siblings to attend classes together. However, each child up to the age of 5 that participates in class must be registered. We have provided discounted sibling pricing for families. 
  • Older siblings may be allowed to attend occasionally, please communicate with the center director prior to the class time. 
  • Infant siblings under 9 months old on the start date of class may attend for free with a registered sibling.

Health Policy

  • Masks are currently optional for all classes and events
  • Masks are welcome for any child based on personal comfort, but not required
  • Mask Policies are subject to change at any time
  • Providing a healthy and safe environment is of utmost importance, as we have children of all ages making music together in the same space. Music Together Songful Beginnings takes extensive measures to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness for our space, instruments and materials.
  • All participants should have clean bare feet or wear clean and comfortable socks to indoor class. No shoes are allowed on the mat. 
  • Please do not bring yourself or your child to class if either of you are ill. Participants must be fever/symptom free for 24 hours. Each family is allowed up to two make up classes per semester, make up options will vary based on circumstance.
  • There are no public restrooms available for outdoor classes, please plan accordingly. 

Classroom and Attendance Policy

  • Closed, leak proof, water cups or bottles are allowed. However you are responsible for keeping the cup tucked away when not actively in use. 
  • No food, snacks or meals are allowed during instruction time. Breastfeeding infants is fine. 
  • You are responsible for managing your own attendance. Makeup Classes are optional, based on space availability and should be coordinated through the director. 
  • Providing a healthy and safe environment is of utmost importance, as we have children of all ages making music together in the same space. Music Together Songful Beginnings fosters an inclusive, supportive setting for all families to enjoy making music together.
